Automatically put your computer on standby

You might not know that you can automatically put your computer on standby. But remember when you computer is on standby your data is not saved to your hard drive so in this case if there is interruption in power supply your data will be lost.
If you are using a laptop, you can specify one setting for battery power and a other for AC power. You can adjust any power management option that your computer's hardware configuration supports. Normally power options automatically detects the available hardware on your computer and shows you only the options that you can control.

How to do it?

Open Control Panel and then select Power Option.
In Power Schemes, there is a drop down menu click the down arrow, and then select a power scheme. The time settings for the power scheme are displayed in System standby, Turn off monitor, and Turn off hard disks. You can select your suitable timing by selecting a time in Turn off monitor if you want to turn off your monitor before your computer goes on standby.

Monitor flickers too much


Free Computer Tip, If your monitor flicker too much


Reason for flickering :

Sometimes your monitor is not fully compatible with your VGA, in this case your monitor flickers too much.



Solution :


To resolve this issue simply right click at you desktop then click properties in the setting tap click advance. A new window will pop up then click at monitor tab.
  • From here you can change the monitor refreshing rate. 
  • Setting the right refreshing rate which your monitor support will fix the problem.

Delete data from a CD

First of all make it sure that you have Cd-rw connected with PC and installed.
Secondly all CDs are not erasable so if the CD you are using is not erasable, then you are unable to delete data from CD.
Now to erase files from a CD, double click the Cd-rw drive in my computer.
It will show the contents of CD.Under CD writing tasks, click at "Erase this CD-RW". It will displays the CD Writing Wizard. click next and then follow the instructions in the wizard to delete the files from a CD.
